Serving homes across Brisbane Southside, Logan, and Redlands.
Brisbane summers are brutal and air conditioning alone drives your power bill through the roof. A ceiling fan in each bedroom and living area moves air constantly and lets you run the aircon at a higher temperature or not at all. Most rooms in older Brisbane homes were never fitted with ceiling fans.
Your existing ceiling fan wobbles, rattles or hums every time it runs. A wobbling fan usually means the mounting bracket has loosened, the blades are warped or the motor bearings are worn. Replacing an old fan with a new properly installed unit eliminates the noise and the safety risk.
You are renovating a room, adding a deck or building a new home and want ceiling fans included from the start. Getting the wiring, bracing and fan location right during the build saves cutting into finished ceilings later.
You want to replace a basic light fitting with a ceiling fan and light combination. This is one of the most common jobs we do across Brisbane Southside. A fan with an integrated light gives you airflow and lighting from a single point without needing additional wiring in most cases.
Ceiling fans are one of the most cost effective comfort upgrades for any Brisbane home. Low running cost, easy to use and they work year round.
A ceiling fan costs around 2 to 3 cents per hour to run compared to 30 to 50 cents per hour for air conditioning. Running your fan instead of or alongside your aircon can reduce your cooling costs significantly over a Brisbane summer. If your switchboard is old it may also be worth upgrading to handle additional circuits for multiple fans.
Most ceiling fans have a reverse switch that changes blade direction. In summer the fan pushes air down to create a cooling breeze. In winter it runs in reverse to push warm air that collects at the ceiling back down into the room. One installation gives you comfort all year round.
Buyers in Brisbane expect ceiling fans, especially in bedrooms and living areas. A home without fans feels dated and uncomfortable during inspections. Installing ceiling fans before selling is a low cost upgrade that makes a genuine difference to how buyers experience your home.
Portable pedestal fans take up floor space, create trip hazards with trailing cords and are a risk around young children. A ceiling fan is permanently mounted out of reach, wired into your home’s electrical system and protected by a safety switch on the circuit.

Every Ceiling Fan Installation Brisbane homeowners book is completed to current AS/NZS 3000 standards and includes all of the following. No surcharges, no upsells on the day.
Every fan is mounted to a bracing bracket rated for the weight and vibration of the fan. We check that the ceiling structure can support the fan before installation and add bracing if required. No fan leaves here hanging from a plastic light fitting box.
Every fan is tested on all speed settings with the light on and off. We check for correct rotation direction, smooth operation and proper electrical connections before we leave.
After installation every fan is run on all speed settings and checked for wobble, vibration and noise. Blades are balanced so the fan runs smooth and quiet. A properly balanced fan should be barely noticeable when running.
Anthony does the work personally. Not an apprentice. Not a subbie. Not a call centre dispatch. Ceiling fan installation is electrical work that must be carried out by a licensed electrician.
Your fan is wired to a wall switch, wall controller or remote depending on the model and your preference. We can also install separate switches for the fan and light if you want independent control.
Labour warranty on the install plus full manufacturer warranty on the fan and all components fitted.

No. In Queensland all electrical work including ceiling fan installation must be carried out by a licensed electrician. This includes wiring, connecting to circuits and mounting the fan to the ceiling. DIY electrical work is illegal and dangerous. If you need a fan installed, call a licensed sparky.
Yes. We can run new wiring from your switchboard or an existing circuit to a new ceiling point for your fan. This involves running cable through the ceiling space and installing a new switch. The cost is higher than a straight swap but Anthony will quote it clearly upfront.
For rooms up to 12 square metres a 900mm to 1050mm fan is suitable. For rooms 12 to 20 square metres go with a 1200mm to 1320mm fan. For rooms over 20 square metres a 1400mm to 1520mm fan works best. Anthony can advise on the right size during the on-site assessment.
No. A ceiling fan typically costs 2 to 3 cents per hour to run compared to 30 to 50 cents per hour for a split system air conditioner. Running your fan alongside the aircon lets you set the thermostat higher and still feel comfortable, reducing your overall power bill.
Yes. We use angled mounting adapters designed for sloped and raked ceilings. The fan hangs straight while the bracket sits flush against the angle of the ceiling. Most modern ceiling fans come with an adapter or one can be purchased separately.
For optimal airflow the fan blades should be at least 2.1 metres from the floor and 300mm below the ceiling. In rooms with higher ceilings a drop rod extension brings the fan down to the ideal height. Anthony will recommend the right drop rod length for your ceiling height.
Yes and it should be. All new ceiling fan installations should be on a circuit protected by a safety switch (RCD). If the circuit your fan is going on does not have safety switch protection we will recommend adding one.
Yes. We install IP rated outdoor ceiling fans designed for covered patios, verandahs and alfresco areas. Outdoor fans must be rated for damp or wet locations and installed on a dedicated circuit with appropriate weather protection.
Either way works. You can purchase your own fan and we will install it, or Anthony can supply a quality fan suited to your room size and ceiling height. If you are buying your own make sure it comes with a mounting bracket and all hardware.
Fixed price quote within 24 hours. Most installations completed the same day. Call Anthony directly, no call centre, no middleman, no runaround.
