We run the dedicated circuit from your switchboard to the charger location, mount the wall charger, wire everything with the correct cable size and install the appropriate safety switch and breaker. Anthony does the work himself.
The charger is tested under load, the app is configured and Anthony walks you through how to use the charger, set schedules and monitor charging. Plug in your car, confirm it is charging, job done.

You can but it is not recommended for regular use. A standard 10 amp power point delivers around 2.3kW which means a full charge takes 20 to 40 hours depending on your battery size. It also puts constant high load on a circuit not designed for it, increasing the risk of overheating. A dedicated circuit with the right protection is the safe option.
Level 1 is charging from a standard 10 amp power point at 2.3kW. Level 2 is charging from a dedicated circuit via a wall charger at 7kW to 22kW depending on your power supply. Level 2 is 3 to 10 times faster than Level 1 and is the standard for home EV charging installations.
It depends on your current switchboard. If your board has spare capacity for a dedicated 32A circuit you may not need an upgrade. If your switchboard is full, outdated or running ceramic fuses, an upgrade will be needed before the EV charger can be installed. Anthony checks this during the on-site assessment.
Yes. If you have rooftop solar you can charge your EV during the day using your own generated power. Some chargers have built in solar integration that prioritises surplus solar energy for charging. Anthony can advise on the best setup to maximise your solar self-consumption.
We install all major EV charger brands sold in Australia. If you have already purchased a charger we will install it. If you need us to supply one Anthony will recommend a charger suited to your vehicle, power supply and budget.
No. Most home EV chargers run on single phase power at 7kW which is fast enough to fully charge most EVs overnight. Three phase power allows charging at up to 22kW which is useful for larger batteries or if you need faster turnaround. If you want three phase installed, SEQ Sparky handles three phase power upgrades as well.
A standard single phase wall charger installation typically takes 3 to 5 hours depending on the cable run distance from switchboard to garage. If a switchboard upgrade is needed that may add additional time. Most jobs are completed in a single visit.
Yes. Every EV charger circuit must have a dedicated safety switch (RCD) at the switchboard. Depending on the charger model you may need a Type A or Type B RCD. We install the correct type as specified by the charger manufacturer.
It depends on the body corporate and available power supply. Townhouses with their own switchboard and garage are usually straightforward. Apartments and shared parking structures require body corporate approval and may need additional work. Anthony can assess the feasibility during a site visit.
